Abstract: The article reports on a joint venture formed by meat company Tyson Foods and fuel-maker Syntroleum which produces diesel based on animal fats in the U.S. The joint venture Dynamic Fuels was selling the renewable diesel to Norfolk Southern railroad for use in freight trains, according to the two companies. Tyson sources animal fats from slaughterhouses to provide the feedstock for the diesel. The diesel is said to have higher quality because of its high cetane content.
