Abstract: The article offers an overview and analysis of the Iraqi thinking on the issue of nuclear power, and rebuilding a peaceful nuclear program that can benefit electric power generation, agriculture, and medicine. The author states that the U.S. should launch an effort to educate the Iraqis on the benefits and risks of nuclear power. He notes that awareness of this thinking will facilitate in the crafting of more effective U.S. policies that can contribute to the security of the Middle East region.
