Abstract: This article aims to analyse a little researched sector from the point of view of social innovation along its complex supply chain. Applying action research methodology based on questionnaires via email and semi-structured in-depth interviews, it tests the key factors and the most important practices of nine audiovisual content production companies and the Spanish association to which they belong. The findings from this qualitative research look deeper into a nascent sector in the field of social innovation that presents abundant opportunities to innovate socially thanks to green shoots, women's access and professional development, young talent, and the improvement of social cohesion in different areas. Finally, it concludes with a proposal in the form of lines of action for the industry. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
