Abstract: The article focuses on the "Writing Differently" movement, which emphasizes collaborative writing as a transformative practice in academic environments often characterized by competition and individualism. It highlights the importance of intimate co-writing experiences that foster vulnerability, care, and relationality among authors, reviewers, and editors. The special issue presents various innovative approaches to writing, including autoethnography, poetry, and collective biography, while advocating for an open review process that enhances the relational dynamics between authors and reviewers. Ultimately, the article underscores the potential of collaborative writing to challenge neoliberal academic structures and promote a more humane and connected scholarly community.
