| Abstract: | This investigation determined if students showed a difference in academic attainment or attitude toward school as a result of membership in an average or above average size group. Some 224 male and female students in average or above average size classes in Business Law, Introduction to Business, and Government served as subjects. They were randomly scheduled into classes. Pretest and posttest scores on teacher-made tests were analyzed to measure academic attainment. No significant difference in academic attainment was found for either Business Law or Introduction to Business classes. A significant difference was found for the course on government. No significant differences for satisfaction with learning environment, resulting from differences in class size, were found for any of the three courses. (PS) |
