Abstract: This programed booklet presents ideas related to inductors and inductance--resistance networks. It is designed for the engineering student who is familiar with differential equations and electrical networks. A variety of cases are considered with the idea of developing in the student a broad acquaintance with the inductor response. The booklet is divided into the following parts--(1) Real and Ideal Inductors, (2) A Limit to Inductor Current Change, (3) Changing Current and Voltage in Inductors, (4) Energy Storage in the Inductor, (5) Solving for the Current, and (6) Review.
