| Abstract: | The two purposes for this workshop are: (1) to provide basic foundations for the future planning and growth of library services for patients and residents in institutions of the Department of Mental Health and for all citizens of Illinois having mental health problems; and (2) to encourage cooperation and understanding between public librarians and librarians for patients and residents in institutions of the Department of Mental Health. The report contains: A general summary of the workshop; a summary of the sessions with Clara Lucioli -- the head of the Hospital and Institutions Department of the Cleveland Public Library; reports from the discussion groups; the schedule and list of participants; and a list of resource materials given to the participants.
