Abstract: This document reports a yearlong study of possible benefits in cost, time, and facility utilization of a systems building approach for Texas college and university construction. The first part of the report deals with trends and needs in higher education and the related architectural implications. A subsequent discussion of alternative building delivery processes is followed by a consideration of the utilization of present and future facilities. Study findings are summarized and recommendations are made for improving the building delivery system. Appendixes contain background data for the information developed in the report and a selected bibliography. A related document is EA 004 061. (Parts of the appendixes may reproduce poorly.)
