Abstract: This pamphlet is intended to be nothing more than a compilation of the statutes of Texas dealing with libraries and librarians. It is for the convenience of those connected with or interested in libraries and is not meant to be relied upon to settle complex legal issues. The present publication is an expansion and revision of an earlier compilation done in 1968. The staff of the Texas State Library has had the assistance of the Legislative Reference Library in bringing out this new publication. (Author)
