Abstract: The Brotherhood of Railway and Airline Clerks (BRAC) Railroad Clerical Program contains two main parts. The first part deals with the railroad industry and provides: an outline of basic railroad history, a glossary of railroad terms, a description of the kinds of work done in railroad offices, sample forms used in the railroad industry, descriptions of railroad office equipment, and descriptions of the various kinds of railroad rolling stock. The second part deals with trade unions and covers the following topics: labor and the economy, history of trade unions, collective bargaining and trade unions, railroad labor, and a glossary of terms. The program deals with each topic in a separate unit, each of which contains a brief classroom quiz at its end. (JR)
