Abstract: This manual provides information needed to meet specific standards for certification as a pesticide applicator. Each of the eight chapters deals with a different aspect of pesticide use. Chapter one discusses the problems of use, particularly those associated with safety. Chapter two is concerned with the identification and diagnosis of insects and disease while the third chapter discusses a variety of equipment types and their utilization. The remaining chapters deal with pests of the specific categories of vegetables, field and forage crops, trees, fruits and vines, Christmas trees, and agricultural crops. (CS)
