Abstract: The teacher's guide, written in Spanish, and the reader and workbook of the same title, form the fourth level in a series of supplemental instructional materials designed for teaching reading in Spanish to second grade students. Following an introduction and a detailed list of objectives for each of the five to eight lessons per unit, there are lesson plans for each of the eight units. Lesson plans note materials needed, teaching method, questions to ask (inserted in text where appropriate), exercises and answers. Activities include dictation, reading comprehension exercises, games, dictionary practice, drawing, sentence completion and construction, questions and answers, grammar exercises, and pronunciation drills. Each unit is designed to be completed in five class periods of approximately 40 minutes, plus additional review time. There is an illustrated glossary of new words at the end of the guide. (SB)
