Abstract: This second, revised edition of the Directory of Adult Education Documentation and Information Services is a reference tool for those seeking information and documentation on adult education in other countries. In the first part 154 national adult education documentation services in sixty-five countries have been listed by country in alphabetical order. Parts 2 and 3 present information on nine regional and three international services. The main criterion for inclusion of centers is that they must, whether independently or as special units of an institution, be able to provide documentation or information on adult education by requests coming from abroad. The format for each item may include some or all of the following information: official name, translation into English or French, address, year of creation, parent organization, present head, size of staff, type of activities, people served, services given, fields covered, size of collection, methods of data processing, classification system, audiovisual materials, reprographic services, periodical publications, monographs, and studies and surveys in preparation. Information may be in English or French. An annotated list of twenty-five adult education abstracting services is appended. (Table of contents, list of abbreviations, and introduction are provided in English, Spanish, and French.) (YLB)
