| Abstract: | The Educational Resources Information Center (ERIC) database is now available to many libraries and curriculum centers on compact disc (CD-ROM version), making it easier for teachers to search for and locate materials for day-to-day classroom activities. This digest asks and answers six questions on the kinds of practice-oriented materials in the database and search strategies that will locate them. The six questions are as follows: (1) What types of practice-oriented materials are in ERIC? (2) How does one find such materials? (3) How does one set up a search strategy? (4) What does "Target Audience" indicate in an ERIC resume? (5) How does a searcher use the Target Audience field to find materials? and (6) Are there practice-oriented materials not identified with practitioner labels in the Target Audience field?
