| Abstract: | This paper lists some of the reactions from professionals all around the world to the publication of FRBR (Functional Requirements for Bibliographic Records) by IFLA (International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions), including suggested changes, pedagogical issues, experiments in implementation, and other achievements inspired by the model. The paper then shows how FRBR could be used in the process of revising ISBDs (International Standard Bibliographic Descriptions) in the context of interoperability between data from libraries, archives, and museums, as well as in the context of increasing availability of catalogs on the World Wide Web.
