This paper explores three things: the elements of Working, Learning, Playing, and Giving and the way they fit together in counselors' lives-- using life stories as the material for investigation and for role modeling; some of the practical and creative tools the authors have developed on a joint English/Irish project which has been running for the last two years; and lessons the authors have learned from working across national boundaries.
