Abstract: "Career Interests and Education Choices: It's My Plan!" will help students discover their interests and abilities. By learning about themselves, "It's My Plan!" will help students match their characteristics to career options and postsecondary education choices. "It's My Plan!" has four lessons: (1) Getting to Know Yourself; (2) Determine a Career Direction; (3) Choosing a Postsecondary Program; (4) Planning and Applying to your Postsecondary Program. "It's My Plan!" gives students the foundation to be successful in college. It contains information about: (1) Resources to help students begin choosing high school classes that fit their career interests; (2) Different types of postsecondary programs; (3) How to find financial aid and other sources of support to meet their goals; (4) College assessments; and (5) How to fill out a career interest survey and create a self-report of progress. Appended are: (1) Lesson One: My Self-Assessment; (2) Lesson Two: Determine a Career Direction!; (3) Lesson Three: Choosing a Postsecondary Program!; and (4) Lesson Four: Planning & Applying to Your Postsecondary Option. Individual sections contain glossaries.
