Abstract: The Colorado Preschool Program (CPP) is a state-funded preschool program administered by the Colorado Department of Education (CDE). The program serves children with certain risk factors associated with later challenges in school. In its 34th year, CPP provides funding for up to 29,360 children annually for preschool education, having served more than 460,000 children since its inception. This report details the outcomes of CPP, showing that the vast majority of children funded through CPP meet or exceed age expectations across six developmental domains by the end of each school year and consistently have higher outcomes when compared with children with similar factors that put them at risk of educational challenges. Key data include: (1) CPP eligibility; (2) CPP enrollment; (3) Colorado Shines-rated programs; (4) CPP funding; (5) preschool funding sources; (6) CPP access to children with educational disabilities; (7) student growth; (8) CPP results; (9) long-term outcomes; and (10) family engagement strategies.
