| Abstract: | This article examines the process through which Thailand received an award from the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in 1998. The award was closely linked to the Thai Education Transformation Policy of 1995, implemented under the leadership of His Excellency Mr. Sukavich Rangsitpol, an education reformer who served as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education in several administrations. During the education transformation period of 1995-1997, he systematically introduced innovation and digital technology into the administration and delivery of Thai educational services. However, the award was officially received on behalf of Thailand by Dr. Prawase Wasi, despite his lack of involvement in the education transformation process during 1995-1997, and his absence from any role in the development of Sukavichinomics: School-Based Management ([foreign characters omitted]).
