Abstract: Collaborative Learning (CL) is an interactive, student-centered form of learning in which individuals work together to plan, discuss, and build on each other's ideas. CL not only helps students deepen their understanding of academic content, but also equips students with real-world skills like communication, teamwork, and problem-solving. These are the skills that will serve them well beyond the classroom. This toolkit was created by a community of educators who believe in the power of collaboration. As no two classrooms are the same, these resources have been designed to be flexible, adaptable, and rooted in real teaching experience. The resources include: (1) practical strategies for designing CL experiences; (2) adaptable tools to support a range of learners and classroom settings, including lesson planning and worksheets; (3) tried and true approaches grounded in both research and classroom practice; and (4) actionable steps teachers can use immediately. Whether one is new to CL or looking to refine their approach, this toolkit is here to support them. It is the hope that this resource not only helps strengthen collaboration in the classroom, but also creates connections with a broader community of educators who are committed to student-centered, engaging, and equitable learning.
