Abstract: In diverse educational settings, supporting English as an Additional Language (EAL) students is critical for college educators. These learners often navigate complex linguistic and cultural landscapes, bringing knowledge of multiple languages frequently underused in academic environments. Embracing multimodality offers a strategy to bridge linguistic gaps and enhance comprehension, expression, and engagement for both students and educators. By utilizing multimodal approaches, colleges can create more inclusive learning environments that value students' linguistic identities while empowering educators to adopt responsive, innovative practices.
