| Abstract: | This report is designed to help stakeholders understand the current and future labor market within the Rocky Mount-Wilson Region. It is also a tool for North Carolina community colleges as they consider programmatic changes that align with the labor market and identify potential opportunities for programmatic collaboration with other colleges in the region. This report specifically provides regional insights into: (1) recent trends associated with overall employment at the region and county levels; (2) current regional diversity of industry sectors and occupational groups; (3) projected regional changes across industry sectors and occupational groups; (4) regional projections for annual openings in occupations requiring or preferring a community college education and their associated earnings; (5) annual count of regional community college completers by program and their associated earnings; (6) comparison of occupational openings and community college completers by PropelNC Workforce Sector; and (7) recent economic development activity. |
