| Abstract: | The Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander (NHPI) Student Success Plan (Plan) is a statewide initiative administered by the Oregon Department of Education (ODE) and driven by Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander community leaders to improve outcomes for NHPI learners from early learning through postsecondary education. Rooted in cultural values, intergenerational knowledge, and strong community partnership, the Plan recognizes the diverse histories and strengths of NHPI communities across Oregon. Its purpose is clear: to build an educational system that uplifts, affirms, and provides equitable pathways for NHPI students to thrive. This report provides an overview of the Plan, including information about the advisory group, how the Plans have been aligning with ODE initiatives, what system improvements have been implemented, and the next steps for the 2025-2027 biennium. |
