| Abstract: | This quantitative study investigated the impact of ICT integration in teaching series and parallel circuits and household circuit applications at Kiyang Primary School, Samtse. The objectives were to examine the effectiveness of ICT integration and its impact in academic achievement of the participants. This study involved 24 participants who were divided into control (12 participants) and experimental (12 participants) groups by online group generator. The experimental group received ICT-based instruction, while the control group was taught using traditional lecture methods for two weeks the by same teacher. Data was collected through pre-tests and post-tests employing independent t-test. The true experimental study indicated a significant improvement in the academic achievement of students in the experimental group, with pre-test mean 40.83 and post-test mean 82.78 out of 100 compared to the control group pre-test mean 42.50 and post-test mean 62.72 out of 100. Further, it was revealed that younger participants achieved better scores than older participants and the academic achievement of the participants did not depend on the gender. The findings support the importance of ICT in improving learning outcomes and align with the Bhutanese government and His Majesty's vision of an IT-enabled society. |
