Abstract: The Intercultural Development Research Association (IDRA) annual attrition study tracks the number and percentage of students in Texas who are lost from public high school enrollment before graduation. This year's study continues IDRA's four-decade-long annual report series and builds on previous assessments of trends in dropout and attrition rates in Texas public schools. The following assessments and features are included in this report: (1) Texas Public School Attrition Study, 2024-25--High School Attrition Rate Worsens with Biggest Jump in Four Decades (Christina Quintanilla-Muñoz and Joanna Sánchez); (2) 6 Policies that Lead to Higher Dropout Rates--Infographic; (3) Dropout Rate for Texas Charter Schools Triples the State Rate (Christina Quintanilla-Muñoz); (4) Life and Times of the Class of 2025; (5) Systemic Attrition Requires Systemic Action in Partnership with Families and Students (Hector Bojorquez); (6) A Legacy of Valuing Students--Infographic; (7) Texas Reports 39,000 Class of 2024 Students Dropped Out (Christina Quintanilla-Muñoz); and (8) 8 Types of Dropout Data Defined--Infographic.
