| Abstract: | The Annual Report on People with Disabilities in America tracks the progress of important social and economic topics to see if things are getting better or worse for people with disabilities. The statistics in this report are from the American Community Survey (ACS), a national survey that is conducted every year. It asks people about disability, employment, education, and other topics. The ACS' Public Use Microdata Sample (PUMS) was used to estimate the statistics in this report. Data indicators include: (1) population size; (2) disabling environments; (3) living in institutions; (4) level of education; (5) employment; (6) earnings from work; (7) poverty; (8) health insurance; (9) mass transit to work; and (10) age of home. This report complements the 2026 Annual Disability Statistics Compendium. |
