Abstract: Informal statistical reasoning, a fundamental aspect of statistical reasoning, involves students' logical processing of random data to extract meaningful insights. Enhancing this skill is crucial for helping students interpret and address statistical problems within their cultural and contextual frameworks. Activity-centered learning, particularly through reasoning with contextual statistical problems, plays a key role in developing informal statistical reasoning. This study aimed to design culturally contextualized worksheets based on Nias traditions to enhance students' informal statistical reasoning. Using a design research approach that included preliminary and formative evaluations, the study involved small-group trials with 48 high school students in Gunungsitoli. Data were collected through documentation, observations, interviews, and pilot tests, analyzed using both quantitative and qualitative methods. The findings indicate that the Nias culture-integrated worksheets are valid, practical, and have a potential effect on enhancing students' informal statistical reasoning. Improvements in reasoning indicators suggest that incorporating cultural contexts into statistical learning offers an alternative approach to strengthening students' proficiency in this domain.
