| Abstract: | Teaching resilience to students is essential so that they can thrive in the face of adversity and develop into effective problem solvers. In this study, we developed a resilience intervention programme by using a blog platform and examined its effectiveness among first-year university students enrolled in a basic organic chemistry course. Based on the pre- and post-survey using the Resilience Scale-10 questionnaire, participants in the experimental group reported increased self-determination and adaptability to their new environment following their transition from high school to university life. Moreover, the paired t-test showed a statistically significant difference in participants' resilience levels after participating in the resilience activities (p<0.001). Lastly, based on the reflective essays submitted, participants indicated increased motivation and enthusiasm for learning about organic chemistry in the future. |
