Abstract: This article presents a case study of a collaboration between a faculty developer and an engineering librarian at San José State University to support junior faculty in navigating research metrics and strategic publishing. Through a co-facilitated workshop embedded in a college-level faculty development program, early-career engineering faculty received targeted guidance on institutional research expectations and scholarly communication practices. This partnership highlights the value of integrating librarian expertise into faculty development programming and offers practical suggestions for replicating similar collaborations, particularly in institutions where internal research support is tied to publication-based evaluation systems.
