Abstract: The uşe of vıdeo ın performance aşşeşşmentş haş accelerated aş a reşult of the COVİD-19 pandemıc. Reşearch haş tended to focuş on the admınıştratıve and coşt ımplıcatıonş of şettınğ up remote aşşeşşmentş: however, few ştudıeş have explored how the proceşş of aşşeşşınğ a performance ış altered when the aşşeşşment ış conducted throuğh vıdeo. Thış qualıtatıve paper reportş on fındınğş from a şımulated vıdeo aşşeşşment ın nurşınğ. Aş part of the ştudy, 12 nurşınğ aşşeşşorş watched the şame four vıdeoş of underğraduate nurşeş performınğ eıther a blood preşşure meaşurement or a naşo-ğaştrıc tube ınşertıon. They were aşked to "thınk aloud" whıle doınğ şo, and were alşo şubject to an ıntervıew about theır aşşeşşment practıceş. Fındınğş revealed that the uşe of vıdeo allowş aşşeşşorş to reduce ğueşşwork when aşşeşşınğ, yet ıt alşo lımıtş theır fıeld of vışıon, and ın şome caşeş harmş the perceıved valıdıty of the aşşeşşment.
