| Abstract: | The aim of this study is to examine the views of biology teachers on the Turkish Century Education Model 9th grade biology curriculum. Case study design was used in the study. The study group consisted of 20 biology teachers working in schools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education in the 2024-2025 academic year. The participants were determined by convenience sampling method. A semi-structured interview form was used as a data collection tool. The data were collected by the researchers through face-to-face interviews with some teachers and online interviews with others via the internet, and by filling out written forms sent over the internet with some teachers who could not be interviewed. Content analysis method was applied to analyse the data; teacher opinions were carefully examined and similar expressions were grouped under themes and categorized. The statements in the categories were analysed in more detail and key concepts were identified and codes were created from these concepts. In addition, a word cloud was created using MAXQDA 2022 qualitative data analysis program. As a result of the research, it was concluded that the 9th grade biology curriculum was generally evaluated positively by the teachers, but the need for improvement was expressed in some areas. As a suggestion, a guide for teachers and students could be prepared for both the implementation and planning of the new curriculum. |
