| Abstract: | This study examines the influence of Mobile-Assisted Language Learning (MALL), a branch of mobile learning (M-learning), on language acquisition among university students in Azerbaijan. As technology becomes increasingly embedded in higher education, the research investigates the extent to which mobile applications and platforms enhance language skills, with a particular focus on student engagement and learning outcomes. Quantitative data were collected through online surveys completed by Azerbaijani university students, capturing both the benefits and limitations of using mobile learning tools. Positive feedback emphasized gains in listening skills, vocabulary expansion, and learning flexibility. Conversely, negative experiences highlighted issues such as limited content variety, insufficient opportunities for conversational practice, and distractions caused by advertisements and notifications. The results suggest that MALL can be highly effective in supporting language learning when combined with engaging, interactive, and well-structured content. Nonetheless, challenges related to repetitive tasks, technical errors, and content design must be addressed to optimize its educational potential and ensure a more sustainable and productive learning experience. |
