Abstract: Analyzes the attitude scores of 150 secondary school students who participated in experimental and control groups in a one semester study of the effects of an individualized chemistry course. Three factors: (1) student perception of freedom in the educative process; (2) interest in chemistry; and (3) student perception of their relationship with the teacher were isolated. Among other findings, pre and posttest analyses reveal a significant increase in interest for students in the experimental group. (CP)
