| Abstract: | Twenty hyperactive children (ages 6-16) were administered dichotic digits tasks requiring free report and selective listening under stimulant medication (methylphenidate). Results demonstrated that stimulants may act to maintain selective attention and to inhibit channel switching. Right-ear superiority was influenced by task variables but not by the medication.
