| Abstract: | Investigated relationship between substance abuse and sexual abuse in population of 260 psychiatrically hospitalized adolescents. Resulting model suggests that, within clinical populations, sexually abused adolescents should be screened for substance abuse, and attention should be given to parental alcohol abuse as well as degree to which adolescents perceive benefits from their alcohol or drug use.
