The death of Mr. Lazarescu aims to show the effects of the crisis in a dehumanized health system in which doctors and nurses must care for a patient polysymptomatic fragile, elderly who attends four emergency services in a period of seven hours . The patient, his health problems, treatments and care delivered by doctors and nurses is described. Professional attitudes and some oral statements are analyzed; furthermore aspects of reality related to the film are discussed. Finally, we reflect on the parallelism between fiction and the current crisis in our health care system. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |

La Muerte del Sr. Lazarescu pretende mostrar los efectos de la crisis en un sistema sanitario deshumanizado en el que médicos y enfermeras deben atender a un paciente polisintomático, anciano y frágil que acude en un periodo de siete horas a cuatro servicios de Urgencias. Se describe al paciente, sus problemas de salud y los diversos trata†mientos y cuidados que le administran los médicos y enfermeras que le atienden. De estos profesionales se analizan sus actitudes y algunas manifestaciones verbales; a continuación se comentan aspectos de la realidad vinculados al largometraje.
