Abstract (English): The increase in publishing scientific journals in electronic devices changed the working styles and designed new patterns of scientific communication in the health sector, imposing the scientists new ways for sharing their researches results, by means of the open access and through the use of the Open Journal Systems platform. The publishing flow, difficulties and work projections of the journal MEDISAN are informed, since the implementation of this platform for its publishing process. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
Abstract (Spanish): El incremento en la edición de revistas científicas en soporte electrónico cambió los estilos de trabajo y diseñó nuevos patrones de comunicación científica en el sector de la salud, lo que impuso a los científicos nuevas vías para compartir sus resultados de investigaciones a partir del acceso abierto mediante la plataforma Open Journal Systems. En este trabajo se informa el flujo editorial, las dificultades y proyecciones de la revista MEDISAN, a partir de la implementación de dicha plataforma para el proceso de edición.
