| Abstract (English): | Presentations in general can be characterized as the process by which an academic content is exposed to an audience in a clear, simple and direct way, supported by a series of slides that incorporate various multimedia resources for the purpose of informing, persuading, Motivate, teach and / or disseminate certain academic content. In the reason of the accomplishment of this article to make known some of the errors that are made more frequently when elaborating a presentation in PowerPoint®, as they are the following: 1) develop a Frankenstein presentation; 2) presenting too saturated text slides; 3) anticipate all the information that will be made known during the conference (while giving the explanation of the first slide); 4) read the information directly from the slides; 5) inappropriate use of sounds on slides; and 6) draw a final slide with the word "THANK YOU". Likewise, the recommendations, well founded, are made known on how to correct them and with this, to achieve better presentations worthy of a professional. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
| Abstract (Spanish): | Las presentaciones, de manera general, son un proceso mediante el cual un contenido académico es expuesto ante una audiencia de manera clara, sencilla y directa, apoyado por una serie de laminas que incorporan diversos recursos multimedia, con la finalidad de informar, persuadir, motivar, enseñar y/o difundir ciertos contenidos académicos. El Objetivo de este artículo es exponer los errores más frecuentes en la elaboración de las presentaciones en formato PowerPoint®. Los errores más frecuentes al realizar una presentación en PowerPoint® son: 1) elaborar una presentación "Frankenstein"; 2) Presentar diapositivas saturadas de texto; 3) anticipar la información que expondrá durante la conferencia; 4) lectura de la información directamente de las diapositivas; 5) utilizar sonidos en las diapositivas; y 6) plasmar en la diapositiva final la palabra "Gracias". La elaboración de una presentación en PowerPoint® se encuentra bien fundamentada.
