Abstract (English): Introduction: Pulmonary sequestration is an abnormal segment of lung tissue without communication with the tracheobronchial tree and irrigated by an aberrant artery of systemic origin. Can be intralobar or extralobar. Case report: We present the case of a neonate with respiratory distress due to pulmonary sequestration. Surgical treatment consists in the resection of the lung segment with the ligature and cut of its artery. Is describe the management carried out and the review of the indexed literature.
