Abstract (English): The pressure injuries impact on the quality of life of the patient and his/her family, extend the hospital stay and increase the costs of hospitalization. The child in cardiovascular recovery presents multiple specific risk factors for developing this type of injury. Although common, these adverse events are often preventable. This article presents the results and impact of the interventions and actions for the prevention of the pressure injuries in paediatric patients, developed in the Cardiovascular Recovery Intensive Care Unit of the Juan P. Garrahan Paediatric Hospital. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
