| Abstract (English): | The aim of this article is to summarize the evidence of an excellent therapeutic option for the control of arterial hypertension, a review of the structure, in vitro effects and experimental effects of azilsartan (AZL) is made. This information provides the basic support to explain the excellent clinical results of azilsartan and azilsartan plus chlorthalidone (AZL-CLD) both in the experimental phase III reviewed here, and in real life in our Center, the experience of which will be reported in a descriptive way with azilsartan and AZL-CLD.
