| Abstract (English): | The objective of the study was to describe the legal regulatory framework for occupational health for waste pickers cooperatives. The type is descriptive and field research, under a nonexperimental, transectional design, the population corresponds to the waste picker cooperatives, so the selected sample is one hundred (100) unionized waste pickers from the Colombian Caribbean. The observation was used as a research technique and the questionnaire as a data collection instrument, it was made up of items under a Likert-type attitude scale, with five alternative responses. The results were high compliance for the indicators of the Pension and Health Care Regime of the dimension, which suggests a favorable trend towards compliance and implementation by the recyclers' cooperatives with respect to the current regulations on pension and health. There is a marked weakness in the indicator System of occupational hazards, with a notorious lack of knowledge and little disclosure within the unions, that it is considered a serious offense since it is a duty of every organization to affiliate its employees. | Abstract (Spanish): | El objetivo del estudio fue describir el marco legal regulatorio de la salud laboral para las cooperativas de recicladores. El tipo de investigación descriptiva y de campo, bajo un diseño no experimental, transeccional, la población corresponde a las cooperativas de recicladores, por lo que la muestra seleccionada es de cien (100) recicladores agremiados del Caribe Colombiano. Se empleó la observación como técnica de investigación y el cuestionario como instrumento de recolección de datos, el mismo estuvo constituido por ítems bajo una escala de actitud tipo Likert, con cinco alternativas de respuestas. Los resultados fueron alto cumplimiento para los indicadores Régimen de Pensiones y Atención en Salud de la dimensión, lo cual sugiere una tendencia favorable al cumplimiento e implementación por parte de las cooperativas de recicladores las mismas con respecto a la normatividad vigente en materia de pensión y salud. Existe una marcada debilidad en el indicador Sistema de riesgos laborales, con una ausencia notoria de conocimiento y poca divulgación al interior de las agremiaciones, lo cual se considera como falta grave, ya que es un deber de toda organización afiliar a sus empleados.
