Abstract (English): The article is about the legal and factual capacity required to request euthanasia in Spain. Se menciona que la mayoría de edad legal es de 18 años y que la capacidad de hecho se refiere a que el paciente debe ser consciente y capaz en el momento de la solicitud. La evaluación de esta capacidad se realiza según los protocolos establecidos por el Consejo Interterritorial del Sistema Nacional de Salud. Se menciona el uso del MacCAT-T como una herramienta recomendada para situaciones de incertidumbre en la evaluación de la capacidad de un paciente.
