| Abstract (English): | The article titled "Rational Color Blindness" presents an artwork created by Luis Fernando Carreño Celis, a Colombian master in Fine Arts. The artwork is a polyptych composed of four square modules that represent different elements related to the consumption of alcohol and cigarettes. The artwork questions the way public health is financed through taxes generated by the sale and consumption of these substances. The author poses the dichotomy between color blindness, a visual impairment that makes it difficult to distinguish between colors, and rationality, reflecting on the value of tax regulations. The artwork was the winner of the third salon of emerging art at the Industrial University of Santander in 2001. [Extracted from the article] |
[Extracted from the article] |
