| Abstract (English): | Organizations have an impact on the environment and in turn can be affected by it. To achieve effective environmental management, organizations must identify the elements of their activities, products and services that interact or may interact with the environment, which is defined as an environmental aspect. The objective of the research consisted of diagnosing the environmental aspects and impacts of a physical chemical analysis laboratory for fuels in order to contribute to the improvement of its environmental management. The entrances, exits, emergencies and risks in each activity of the laboratory were analyzed. The evaluation of the impact associated with the identified environmental aspects was carried out according to the methodological guide prepared by Conesa. The diagnosis made contacted that the environmental management of the laboratory is not adequate. The most significant environmental aspects were the emission of gases, the improper handling of chemical products and the generation of toxic and dangerous waste. An action program was designed to minimize the negative impacts generated by the laboratory, totally prevent the occurrence of negative environmental impacts, as well as implement an environmental management system. | Abstract (Spanish): | Las organizaciones, tienen un impacto sobre el medio ambiente y a su vez pueden verse afectadas por el mismo. Para lograr una gestión ambiental eficaz, las organizaciones deben identificar los elementos de sus actividades, productos y servicios que interactúan o puedan interactuar con el medio ambiente, lo que se define como aspecto ambiental. El objetivo de la investigación consistió diagnosticar los aspectos e impactos ambientales de un laboratorio de análisis físico químico de combustibles para contribuir a la mejora de su gestión ambiental. Se analizaron las entradas, salidas, emergencias y riesgos en cada actividad del laboratorio. La evaluación del impacto asociado a los aspectos ambientales identificados se realizó según la guía metodológica elaborada por Conesa. El diagnóstico realizado contactó que la gestión ambiental del laboratorio no es adecuada. Los aspectos ambientales con mayor significancia fueron la emisión de gases, el manejo inadecuado de productos químicos y la generación de residuos tóxicos y peligrosos. Se diseñó un programa de acciones para minimizar al máximo los impactos negativos que genera el laboratorio, prevenir totalmente la ocurrencia de impactos ambientales negativos, así como implementar un sistema de gestión ambiental.
