| Abstract (English): | This article describes the experience of using and subscribing to new electronic resources from the Digital Medical Library (BMD) of the Faculty of Medicine (FacMed). Its structure and function are explained, as well as the support received by the General Directorate of Libraries and Digital Services. The background of BMD, created in 1998, is presented. In addition, the development and scope of remote access is explained. In 2021, it becomes the main source of information for the FacMed community. It is made up of 5 sections: electronic resources; electronic book platforms; dictionaries, encyclopedias and reference works; bibliography, catalog and electronic books; electronic journals. Since 2020, the bibliography of all the undergraduate study plans in this entity has been updated and reviewed, thus making it possible for it to be used by the undergraduate community in an unprecedented number during the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, the resources most used by the entire community, the process of evaluation and integration of new resources are described. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
| Abstract (Spanish): | El presente artículo describe la experiencia de uso y suscripción de nuevos recursos electrónicos de la Biblioteca Médica Digital (BMD) de la Facultad de Medicina (FacMed). Se explica su estructura y su función, así como el apoyo recibido por la Dirección General de Bibliotecas y Servicios Digitales. Se presentan los antecedentes de BMD, creada en 1998. Además, se explica el desarrollo y los alcances del acceso remoto. En 2021, se convierte en la principal fuente de información de la comunidad de la FacMed. Está conforma por 5 secciones: recursos electrónicos; plataformas de libros electrónicos; diccionarios, enciclopedias y obras de consulta; bibliografía, catálogo y libros electrónicos; revistas electrónicas. Desde 2020, se actualizó y revisó la bibliografía de todos los planes de estudio de licenciatura en esta entidad, así se logró que durante la pandemia COVID-19 fuera utilizada por la comunidad de pregrado en un númerosin precedentes.
