| Abstract (English): | The University of Oral Medicine with its Dental Medicine School arrives, in 2024, to its tenth anniversary with achievements in the Mexican dentists training. In this period several certifications, the orthodontics specialty and Medical Surgeon's Dentist degree have been given. Among the planned challenges to reach the university excellence stands out the development of flexible study plans that form a more competitive professional, with an enterprising attitude toward work and production to foment creativity, self-learning, sense of responsibility, interdisciplinary exercise and permanent updating. This university has a training experience, where students, professors and graduates demonstrate the training sustainability both in pregraduate and postgraduate courses; although goals are set to extend other careers and postgraduate forms related to dentistry. | Abstract (Spanish): | La Universidad de Medicina Oral con su Escuela de Medicina Dental arriba, en este 2024, a su décimo aniversario con logros en la formación de odontólogos mexicanos. En este periodo se han impartido varios diplomados, la especialidad de ortodoncia y la licenciatura de Médico Cirujano Dentista. Entre los retos planificados para alcanzar la excelencia universitaria se destaca el desarrollo de planes de estudio flexibles que formen un profesional más competitivo, con una actitud emprendedora hacia el trabajo y la producción para fomentar la creatividad el autoaprendizaje, el sentido de responsabilidad, el ejercicio interdisciplinario y la actualización permanente. Dicha universidad cuenta con una experiencia formativa, donde estudiantes, profesores y egresados demuestran la sostenibilidad de la formación tanto en el pregrado como en el posgrado; aunque se trazan metas para ampliar otras carreras y formas del posgrado relacionadas con la odontología.
