| Abstract (English): | The article "Social representations of psychoactive substance consumption and the university orientation zone" identifies the social representations of drug consumption in a university in Medellín. A qualitative approach and focus groups were used for the research. The results show that the university community associates drug consumption with an escape from reality and considers it necessary to implement the university orientation zone for addiction prevention and harm reduction. The importance of addressing substance consumption from a comprehensive and community perspective to reduce problematic use is highlighted. [Extracted from the article] |
| Abstract (Spanish): | El artículo "Representaciones sociales del consumo de sustancias psicoactivas y la zona de orientación universitaria" identifica las representaciones sociales sobre el consumo de drogas en una universidad de Medellín. Se empleó un enfoque cualitativo y grupos focales para la investigación. Los resultados muestran que la comunidad universitaria asocia el consumo de drogas con una salida de la realidad y considera necesario implementar la zona de orientación universitaria para la prevención de adicciones y reducción de daños. Se destaca la importancia de abordar el consumo de sustancias desde una perspectiva integral y comunitaria para reducir los usos problemáticos. [Extracted from the article] |
