Abstract (English): One of the causes of malpractice complaints is the omission or inopportunity in the performance of laboratory and cabinet studies as part of the diagnostic tests that allow the identification of a certain disease in the patient. This paper explores the causes, consequences and recommendations that can contribute to minimize this error in medical care. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
Abstract (Spanish): Una de las causas de quejas por mala práctica es la omisión o inoportunidad en la realización de estudios de laboratorio y gabinete como parte de las pruebas diagnósticas que permiten identificar una determinada enfermedad en el paciente.
