The article "Towards a decrease in patients' refusal to undergo arteriovenous fistula: New tools and new actors in the interdisciplinary vascular access team. Presentation of the ERCAV project" published in the Nephrology journal in 2025 addresses the importance of improving vascular access for patients on hemodialysis. It highlights the recommendation of native arteriovenous fistula (AVF) for its benefits compared to other methods. The creation of interdisciplinary teams and the use of ultrasound to improve outcomes in incident patients are mentioned. El artículo "Hacia una disminución de la negativa de los pacientes a la realización de fístula arteriovenosa: Nuevas herramientas y nuevos actores en el equipo interdisciplinar del acceso vascular. Presentación del proyecto ERCAV" publicado en la revista Nefrología en 2025 aborda la importancia de mejorar el acceso vascular para pacientes en hemodiálisis. Se destaca la recomendación de la fístula arteriovenosa nativa (FAVn) por sus beneficios en comparación con otros métodos. Se menciona la creación de equipos interdisciplinares y el uso de ecografía para mejorar los resultados en pacientes incidentes. Además, se resalta la necesidad de abordar las negativas de los pacientes a la FAV y se proponen herramientas para mejorar la comunicación y la toma de decisiones en este ámbito.
